All Hands Evolution Films is the brainchild of filmmaker Christopher Leonard. Leonard is a native Californian, who at an early age showed a talent for creativity, particularly in fictional storytelling. After a (very) brief stint as an actor, Leonard joined the United States Coast Guard, where he served with distinction for nearly ten years in the field of counter-narcotics and anti-terrorism. Always an avid writer, in 2006 Leonard began committing his ideas to digital video, creating a series of crude but amusing short films for the Internet. In 2007, he won Best Screenplay and Best Soundtrack at the I-48 48-hour film competition in Boise, Idaho. As of 2010, Leonard has written and directed dozens of sketches, music videos, and short films. He recently completed his first feature film, an hour-long police drama called A-TOWN, which he wrote. Leonard has a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production from The Art Institute of California-San Francisco. He is currently trying to get A-TOWN into film festivals, and is headed to Los Angeles in search of production work.

The name “All Hands Evolution” is a reference to a naval term which means that all members of a ship’s crew are required for a task. AHE Films shares this philosophy, exploiting all available resources to their fullest potential and drawing upon the talents of many local artists to create quality, entertaining digital short films. Frequent collaborators are filmmaker Oliver Ferrasci (Connections, The Exorcism of Mittens) and musician Lisa Mongelli (Angels of Vice, Paradise).
